• Palliative Care

  Ruma Abedona Hospice stands for the Quality of Life when extending the length of life is not in our hand.We are a palliative care unit with a strong focus on the quailty of life for the terminally ill patients mainly cancer. Our specialized health care professionals treat patients suffering from cancer and other terminally ill patients with utmost care and support and each patient irrespective of anything receive equal attention and guidance throughout life. Our devotion is always towards the patient and we always make sure that the patient gets all kind of support and help from us so that they can relieve themselves from the excessive pain, mental agony, financial exploitation and thus live a better life.
  We extend our support till the end of the journey. There might be a number of cases where death is inevitable and we as a palliative care has nothing to do, but we try to reach to those patients, diagnose their problems, provide proper counseling and medication and lessen their pain.

• Pain Management

  The pain and suffering is an unavoidable part associated with incurable diseases. Patient suffering from such diseases specially cancer always bear the pain and sometime it becomes such intolerable that the patient gives hope of life and die with the pain and mental agony.
  We closely work with such patients. Our trained volunteers establish contact with cancer suffering patients through hospitals, clinics local referrals health camps and regularly keep in touch with the patients and their relatives, help them to attenuate the pain through, medical, paramedical, psychological and spiritual care under the guidance of specialized doctors and palliative care consultants.

• Counselling

  The uncertainty of life and the intolerable sufferings makes any terminally ill patient vulnerable which affect their quality of life. We as a non- profit charitable centre always help those patients to come out of the situation of helplessness, fear, mental agony and all other psychological barriers and improve their quality of life. It is evident that sometimes a patient suffering from a terminally ill disease or cancer cannot cope with the reality and extend their sufferings.
  We provide proper guidance and counseling to those patients and their family members with emotional, mental and psychological support to pacify their trauma attached to death and live a quality life till end.

• Community Service

  Apart from these Ruma Abedona Hospice, as an NGO is also associated with several community service and activities ranging from financial assistance to underprivileged patients, organizing free health camps, donation of blankets and other essential commodities, providing books and academic help for poor students and so on.
